Nature Calls

I am well aware that the term nature calls alludes to needing to go to the bathroom, but surely nature calls us to do so much more than that. I would much rather leave the 'bathroom calling' to my body and gravity and be able to say nature calls in relation to nature calling ME. Nature is calling, it is asking me to step outside and smell the fresh air, step my toes through the sand, grass or dirt, whatever is going to ground me into the earth and remind me of the deep certainty that nature accentuates when I answer its call.

Where is your happy place?

Have you noticed that when you are in your happy place, you are exactly that- happy. What is going on when you are in this place? It's the ocean for me, it doesn't matter what is going on in my life, there I find peace, calm and eternal joy. But, when I stop to reflect on how I can step into these feelings so easily by immersing myself in natures waters, I become aware that it is my mind that is essentially creating the peace ripples through my body and not the waves. Yes, the ocean is my anchor, but my mind is the determining instrument for how I choose to feel. How can I inflict this peaceful presence elsewhere, knowing that it is my thoughts that are allowing the peace feels? It is a practise, but with awareness I can choose to step into however I want to feel. Yep. I can choose to step into however I want to feel.

Contrasting complexities and simplicities, you can really open up a whole world of opportunity if you are willing to accept that it is you who has the power to create how you feel. Complex in its nature of overwhelming circumstance and past conditionings that require an undoing, though simple in the sole responsibility of the individual and the life algorithm in we create our thoughts, which create our world. Mind blowing nonetheless.

By choosing your thoughts, you are deciding the ripple effect of your emotions, which drive your actions and create your reality. Woah. So I just ask one thing of you. Can you start to become aware of your thoughts? That is it. Simply watch them, no judgement, no changing. Just become aware of what is going on in your mind and how these thoughts could be making you feel? Are they mostly negative? Are they mostly in the past? Awareness is key. Awareness that you have thoughts, about 60,000 a day. Are they serving you? Once you can become familiar with what you are thinking, we can start to choose more positive, creative and productive thoughts. But for now, notice them, see them, feel them.
